We estimate that large airways collapse may affect up to 1 million people in the UK, and can cause significant daily symptoms.
Any donation will allow us to do more research, which will help us to achieve various goals:
- A more complete understanding of the condition
- A set of standardised definitions
- A set of agreed criteria to populate a central database which will support medical professionals across the UK in diagnosing and treating this condition

To achieve all these goals, more funds are urgently needed. This project is being funded by a charitable sub-fund of the Royal Brompton Hospital Charity called RELACS, which has been set up by someone suffering from relapsing polychondritis.
